As you can see in the pictures, it's so hard to picture it done, with the way it is now.

Wick was playing "Woody" on the front porch while we worked. When we aren't there, he asks us why we aren't working on his wall. (hah)

Joe is mad at me right here because I forgot the ice for the cooler.

This wood right here is part of the reason this is taking so long. The walls are plaster, and this is what is underneath to support the walls. We've had to pry each slat of wood off that is nailed to both sides of the beams. You can see it better and more in tact in some of the other pictures. I actually have liked doing that...

The picture below is the view walking in from the front door.

All this is coming down. Instead of two seperate smaller rooms we are opening it all up.

This is another wall you see when you walk in. Above you see the boys working on a yellow wall...this is what was underneath. We've debated on keeping the fireplace...we love it...but it's going to defeat the purpose of opening up the room, is a huge boo boo maker for kids, and is going to be much harder and more time consumer to keep it rather than tear it down. Sorry to all those who have fought for it. I'm keeping the bricks if that counts for anything. :)

This is one of the windows in Wick's bedroom...I love how huge the windows are in this house.
