We have stairs!!!! I walked in the other day and got so excited to see the stairs are almost finished. It's starting to feel more like our house now. Ben and his brothers Josh and Joe helped our friend, Steve, who is a mason lay the concrete bricks for the foundation underneath the house. Thanks guys!!!
I'm laying in my sister in law's bed blogging right now and I started thinking about how much I can't wait to lay in my own bed in my own new bedroom. I can't wait for Wick to run in and wake me up with a sweet kiss like he does every morning. He'll climb in, we'll snuggle, read books, and decide what we want to do for the day. There are so many things I look forward to in our new house...some things I've had before but just took for granted....like drawers. (we've been living out of a suitcase for months now)
A few more things I'm excited about:
-Cooking in my kitchen...eating in my kitchen
-Breakfast in bed on Saturdays
-A quiet place for Ben to write music
-Painting, sewing, and other arts and crafts in my studio
-Wick's tree house
-A clawfoot tub
-A reading nook for Wick in his room
-The swing
-Closets
-Christmas time
-The giant teepee we're making for Wick's room
-Lots and lots of dinners and entertaining
-Walking to the library down the street with Wick (gotta pay our late fees before I can show my face at any wake county library again)
-Decorating and showing off my vintage/flea market finds
-Just having new stuff....like appliances and the smell of fresh paint
-Being neighbors with Kendall, Lisa, Regan, and the new baby :)
-When we say "We're going home"....actually going to our own house
and the list goes on......
