Update!!!

Well, it's been awhile since I've updated ya'll on the house. The roof is finished! It looks great, and we are relieved to have that done, especially on rainy days like today. It almost killed Ben. Aparently roofing is hard work. I wouldn't know I didn't get up there....I just know it took fooorever. The new HVAC was put in and they put the aluminum foil looking tube things in (Ben just informed me that's called ducting). The support beams are in. Framing is done. Steve installed our new windows. They look fabulous. and clean. and we can see through them now. We have currently been working on putting the insulation in. I learned how to do it the other night, and actually had a really great time with Ben, just upstairs working together on our house. I've learned during this process, that if I want to spend time with my husband, or just see my husband for that matter, I better go help out at the house. As hard as this has been, it's going to be so rewarding to sit in our house and know that we worked so hard on it. We are going to appreciate every night we sleep there. I also used the shop vac and did alot of cleaning and organizing around the house to prep for the sheet rock, which is next. The goal is to start the kitchen and bathrooms first, so we can install the cabinets and vanities. Then comes the ceiling and floor repair. Ben's brothers and cousins have been amazing. Those boys have worked hard. We don't deserve friends like Steve, Gerald, and Nate who have been out there every chance they get. I owe you steak dinners for the rest of your lives. James, I'll make you a millionare pie since you were out there till 1 AM this morning.


Please pray that we stay on schedule. I really really really really really really really really really want to be in our house before Christmas. I really do.
